Paul and Alison
We
thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight at the Gite Almara. The accommodation
is excellent in a beautiful part of France. The holiday was made complete
by our wonderful hosts Alison and Mark who couldn't enough to make
us welcome. Alison H had a very memorable Birthday serenaded by Mark
and his ensemble (aka the Ragodins)! Thank you both so much. Looking
forward to our next visit already. Warmest wishes Alison & Paul

Our 6th stay with Alison and Mark, such a welcome like coming home.
Never tire of the area and seeing the tour de France was great. Please

Jean & Nick:
This
was our third visit to Gite Almara - it’s becoming our second
home! Alison and Mark are warm, generous people who make a huge contribution
to the comfort and enjoyment of our holiday. The Gite has everything
you need and is in a glorious setting. There are many areas to explore
either by foot or by car and if you love nature and peace, it’s
the ideal place. We saw a hoopoe bird again - very exciting - and
loved trying to identify the wide variety of bird sounds. We can’t
wait to go back!

Our second visit of the year and we couldn't wait to get there! The
accommodation is extremely comfortable with everything you may need
provided. A paradise for those of us who love the countryside and
peaceful surroundings. The icing on the cake are Alison & Mark
who are the most delightful people. Can't wait to go back next year!

Jane,Michael and Cody:
We stayed for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave. Mark and Alison couldn't
do enough and were very knowledgeable on the area telling us some
wonderful places to visit, none of them far away. The Gite was very
clean, cozy and well equipped, the garden was large with furniture
and a BBQ. Mark even made sure it was secure for our dog.The house
is well situated for walking or taking one of the bikes around the
fields or commune.We walked the dog every morning and saw so many
different birds,

I can honestly say my wife and I had a relaxing,fun,entertaining.busy,musical.gastronomic,romantic
and all because of our hosts Mark and Alison.it is like the best of
everything you could want theaccommodation first class.we have been
2 times now and the hardest and most upsetting thing is when it is
time to go home

Six day stay in a fantastic little Gite. first time visit to France.
Alison and Mark made our stay extra special. kind, thoughtful people.
so helpful with information. the area was lovely, peaceful but with
plenty to see and do. bikes available so lovely trip out around the
countryside. visited sights using hire car and again Alison and Mark
so helpful. GIte had everything we needed,was comfortable and very
well maintained. lovely Garden to relax in. brilliant experience.

We've had a wonderful holiday with Mark and Alison at Gite Almara..this
was our first time with them and in this area of France..the Gite
was perfect and the Vendee beautiful..we will definitely be returning
next year hopefully for a longer period...we feel we have made friends
for life and nothing was too much trouble

We have had a wonderful two weeks at Gite Almara.Alison & Mark
were perfect hosts, and our needs were fully catered for. We saw birds
and butterflies never seen before - I was so excited to see a hoopoe
- and of course, Mark's gorgeous quails. The area has so many interesting
places to visit and our hosts were full of information and helpful
